    Playing imported games on ps2

My mate just came back from Thailand and brought me some games back with him, trouble is they won't play on my playstation.

Any particularly easy way of sorting it? Chip?

    Ta :D

There's a few different chips you can get- you need to know what version your ps2 is- https://secure.com-us.net/afpworld/ps2/identify_ps2.htm will show you.

Here's a guide tp what the chips offer and how easy they are to install.
    http://www.playstationchips.co.uk/pages/ps2-whichchip.html

Alternatively, you could get a flip top lid- takes nothing to install (just replace your PS2 lid with this one and you need a swap magic disk- costs 35 or so quid for the lot, this allows you to boot with the swap disk, open the lid and swap it for an imported game.

a bit of a faff but it's save soldering 25 or so wires inside your PS2.

I had the swap disc thing on my first playstation, there was a cartridge available then!

Cheers for that, I will check out those sites.
