playing avi files on your pc??

    playing avi files on your pc??

    anyone know any players which support this type of file. the videos wont work on windows media.

    any help wud be much appreciated:D

    if you download a codec pack you can play everything in windows media.

    I just like to have a little amount of media programs on my pc as possible

    uninstall WMP and use vnc mate - seriously :up:

    it dont user hardly any system resource and its a LOT more stable and plays anything :love:

    i've never really found a file the windows media doesn't play, so I'm happy

    u have to install codecs tho ;)

    yeah but that player you listed will be the same in a few months, it's only cause its upto date at the moment, but when new stuff comes out you will need to install codecs to.

    its always updated mate - just install a fresh build and u'll be bang up-to-date.

    it aint just about the codecs, i find WMP just buggy and sluggish.

    personal preference i guess tho :)

    :up: I just tend to use what I have till it lets me down and it hasn't done yet so thats why I still use it.

    just one of me habbits when i install a fresh windows.

    strip out the shite and put on the decent stuff :) :p
