    Places like Finchale Abbey

    Hey,

    Just wondering does any one know of places like Finchale Abbey which is good/safe out door swimming place for kids (and me as a big kid).

    ullswater and windermere are both great, bit of a drive to get there but once your there the pair are only 20 mins apart!

    Was looking for a bit closer than that as I would go to keswick/derwent over windemere (candian canoe hire around keswick is cheap) also know derwent/borrowdale very well.
