Places in Newcastle/Metrocentre that sell outdoor clothing?

I need a waterproof jacket for Monday as I'm starting work placement and I'll probably get wet. I want one that I can wear as a casual jacket as well though so it can't be bright red or make me look like I'm only missing the rockports and tucked in adidas pants ;)

Ideally I'd like to spend about £40 - £60 but 60 is really pushing it. I seen some decent stuff in TK Maxx but if there's anywhere else I could try first I will. I've found that the smaller shops don't have much variety and the prices are insane. Is the TK Maxx at Byker and/or retail world very big compared with the one in town?

Blacks is the best like, TK Maxx in Byker is welll worth a vist much better than town, bigger and dosnt get full of the horrid cretins that you cant seem to escape from in the town store.

a proper outdoor coat for £60 i dont reckon you'll find in a proper climbing shop unless theirs a good sale anywhere

tkmaxx should be ok though, you'll probs get somethiing really nice that doesnt require your tracky bottoms to be tucked in your socks...lol

I'm not planning on climbing Everest with it, it just needs to keep me dry and be pretty low-profile with the colours ;)

Ive had some great buys from there lately, youve got to proper roll your sleaves up and get stuck into the rails though.
