Pioneer Mixer Repairs! Was recording a mix earlier on, got bout 45 mins in wen my lass decided to walk over & spin the CDJ back, CUNT! Not very happy I through my headphones off my head in a childish huff & they've hit & snapped the trim button clean off above the 4th channel above the EQ's, luckily I don't have anything in CH.4 atm but I want it repaired sharpish, is there anywhere local that will replace it? Be gutted if I have to send it off! Cheers in advance! Carson p.s there were no women hurt in this incident, ONLY JUST!
sounds like you need a new pot fitting. If you were savvy enough you could do it yourself with a soldering iron and some electronic tools. Otherwise it's a trip to a specialist (aitken at newcastle might do it). The parts for it are cheap, the labour isn't. Oh and for future reference carson, if you're recording to a PC for a mix you don't have to do it as one continuous recording, whenever I cock up a mix I just rewind the track I'm mixing out of, mix it again, then chop out the dodgy mix, its dead easy

i tracked them down off the pioneer website but they dont specialise in dj equipment, will still give them a ring sometime today to see what they say anyway
The last mix I put up on here I did in a hurry, I recorded 60 mins worth of mix and didn't edit out the mistakes because I was going to give the CD to a mate that night and didn't have time to redo bits of it. Normally I polish it all up, sounds better that way I still fed it through a compression plugin after the mix to level everything out, and I doubt I'm the only one that edits/finalizes their mix before putting it on CD or uploading it. It's not cheating because you go back and mix it again, it's not like you're getting the computer to do it for you
