    Picotto on Friday

Just read the other thread about Friday with absolute disgust!!!

Picotto was on top form on Friday. He built a fucking brilliant set starting off with a bit of tech-house through to some banging techno. Dropped some amazing tunes including:

    Chris Liebing - Golden Age
    Chris Liebing - American Madness
Mauro Picotto - New Time New Place
    Mauro Picotto - Amazing
Mauro Picotto - Pulsar (Megavoices mix??)
    Cave - Street Carnival
DK - Murder Was the Bass

That's all I can remember at this time on a Monday morning.

I think it was a mistake to put Picotto on with Goodgreef. Despite the fact that Picotto played a brilliant set Goodgreef/Promise's typical hard trance/hard house crowd (that get on this board anyways) don't seem to have appreciated it. Then again, most of the crowd who stayed for his full set seemed be loving it! He got a huge round of applause at the end of his set.

And can you believe he blew the mixer!

    Here, here!

Just because he did not relentacy bang it out many thought he was poor:rolleyes: , i'd been lookin forward to hearing him and was not disappointed. Thought it was good to hear a different style, anyway if the tempo was slowed down slighty there was always gonna be Shan afterwards to crank it right back up:D

Of all the tracks played it's Picotto's that I can remember most, some real standout tunes.:groovy:

was a nice change. really enjoyed it, at first i thout he cut the sound on purpose then was gonna hammer it back in or summit but after about 2 mins he was just luking at the mixer confused lmao.
made it better wen it came back on tho, was fucking mint!!

Gotta admit he was banging it out by the end tho!

I though his set built superbly! Pure genius!

Piccotto was awsome! He started off slow after a warm up which should have been techier! He built the set up and finished well. :D :D :D :D

This was my first time seeing picotto and i thought he was first class. It was a top night with class DJ's with plenty of trance, hard trance and techno. What more can you ask for?

Whats the crack then have they got to get a new blender ??

Picotto always seems to hammer the odd system, in Amnesia this year he was meant to kicked the living day lights out of the sound system to the extent where the EQ's on all the amps behind him in the booth were on full red

Apparently the sound bloke was doing his nut and eventually the level dropped

quite easily actually, he came close to blowing one at tall trees after being repeatedly asked not to overload it.

whatever his skills as a dj most of the light and sound crew at tall trees were pretty shocked with his attitude towards them & thier equipment, which they use day in day out and as such you would guess are quite likely to know the limits of.

he isn't my cup of tea, but he is for alot of other people so he must be doing something right.

    You witnessed it happen ?

My mate was there in front of the DJ booth, he seen the bloke come running into the DJ booth doing his nut !

    End of argument really !

Just for the record i think it was a faulty Amp.

It was 1 Amp that tripped the full system and after they had cooled the Amp in question down, everything was sorted.

Hmmmm more stories of Picotto raping sound systems, not good is it really !

Fair play you were there then and i cant really say anything to that but i was going off what my mate said and it wasnt good from what i heard !

In my room if the sound system is on red on the EQ's then i think i know what i would do

    Quick U turn there eh?????

If the sound is there he wont push it but if the sound isnt there he will push it till it gets better.

I think if he was as clueless as everyone makes out with levels i think he would be a shite producer aswell. It does take a certain amount of knowledge to be a top producer you know.

I dont think anyone in this thread has called him for his productions to be honest !

Its more something to do with the fact that he's blew the mixer in Promise / battled with the one in Tall Trees and the same goes for Amnesia !

I know that but if he was so clueless when it come to where things should be run at i think that would question his whole knowledge of what he does, ie production wise aswell.
