    Photoshop help!

I have a load of photos I want to use on a website but I dont want them all to be boring rectangles.

I want to know how I can create photos with rounded edges or any type of random shape.

I think it involves using 'masks' but I cant find anything specifically related to just photos and shaping them.

Anyone help me out with a fairly straight forward method?

you could use the erase background tool, but itts just like rubber so it would be quite time comsuming.

as for programs that do i haven't a clue sorry

its so annoying..... I wouldnt have thought it to be very difficult but I just cant seem to find anything on it or figure it out myself!

I've tried drawing a rectangle and cutting out an elipse from its centre then placing the photo between that layer and the background, which worked ok.

But I really wanted rounded edged photos... :spangled:

    1. Select the rounded rectangle tool, draw one over your picture

    2. Right click in on the shape and select 'make selection'.

    3. Ctrl, Shift & I to inverse selection

    4. Delete

    :D

    that would work, OR

at step 3) Do 'Copy Selection'

    4) and "Paste as a new image"

    i think?!?!

Why not just create a new layer and then create a round selection..

Delete the selection and export as a JPEG..
