Phones from Hong kong I've seen a few on Ebay that look the bollocks and are much cheaper than the decent phones out in our country. They work in English language, on our networks and have some nice features but i'm not keen on ordering one from so far away incase there's something wrong with it. Has anyone ever used or bought one? eg. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=9103760472&sspagename=ADME:B:AAQ:US:1
ive bought my last 2 phones from kuala lumpur...latest being an n70 which is perfect...looked at that link and i wouldnt dare get deals like that...who makes it??? and the seller hasnt got a fukn clue lol its listed as a 1 megapixel...yet the phone says 3
Re: Phones from Hong kong that phone looks horrible, what makes it better than the ones we have over here? my phone has well better features than that and its over a year old. They have uber better phones over there than that. 4 meg cameras and avi video and shit.
i woudnt bother buying owt from hong kong after the stories i heard. a mate of mine bought a mp3 player off ebay, then when he won it they wanted a vastly inflated shipping charge, plus money for some tax, which he paid. when the item arrived, it wasnt as big a memory as what it had said on the auction listing, so he sent it back to get a replacement. when the nips received the item, they said it WAS the size advertised, but did agree to refund him, minus his all postage and tax which left him about £30 out of pocket i think
Re: Re: Phones from Hong kong there are better ones.. I was just wondering. i'd prefer a branded one.
Re: Phones from Hong kong to be fair mate, thats a canny shite deal in my humble opinion.its gona cost you about £175 including post, express delivery, and insurance. You can get a brand new Sony Ericsson w800i with 2 megapixel camera and a 512mB memory stick for about £200 off ebay which you know is top quality, and if owt goes wrong youve got rights. those pictures look a bit graphically enhanced to me, and ive a feeling that the actual fone you receive will be gash looking
I bought a Rugby Shirt from Hong Kong off ebay, postage obviously a bit more than normal but it was fine other than that, not sure id spend a hefty amount gettin stuff from there mind
on one fo the pics it says its got a 3 mp camera, then on spec it says 1.3. i very much doubt that is the phone you'd receive
That was just the first phone i seen from that seller so i thought i'd ask about them. I'm more concerned about peoples experiences with buying phones from other countries whether it be branded phones available in the UK at discounted prices or phones that are only available in other countries. I'm not forking out £400 for the latest phones but if i could save a bob or two i could consider paying a bit more than i was planning on doing Any info about where u can buy phones such as the latest nokia range or other country specific models for import is appreciated. My mam wants one too as she cant be seen with her old OLD nokia brick-type thing when she's taking bookings for driving lessons
