    Phone/TV/Internet Packages

Im moving in a couple of weeks and so gonna use it as an opportunity to get myself on to some sort of new deal.

What are the best/cheapest packages available at the minute?

Im not a heavy internet user tbh, only download the odd bits and pieces.

yeah sky seem to being doing the best hom com's/tele package atm like.

the mother's introducing it to our gaff, not sure if the bandwidth is limited tho.

**edit** it's not limited if you choose the 16mb (questionable) download speed, which only cost's a tenner

just done a tester there on the website:

    Clicky

and chose pretty much a full sky tele package with sky+ box, 16mb broadband with no limit, and unlimited phone calls to landlines and 16 other countries.

129 quid set up costs then its 36 quid a month, but i'd never buy all the fuckin channels like.

    Slight problem

Me and Rossy have just got the Sky one, tbf I just realised that tonight we could have had faster Cable instead through Virgin with some of the channels and same free calls because there was an old Telewest point in the flat we've just got. But for £4 less we get what we want.

Only Sky One and Sky Sports News - you can still get everything else. Virgin have created 'Virgin 1' as a replacement for it - but ti's full of Deep Space Nine repeats and 'Worlds most amazing videos 6' - which is pretty good actually

Sky One aint all that anymore - fed up of the constant adverts for other sky programs & simpsons repeats. Torrents get me all the shows that matter - advert free! AND it means i'm not giving any money to Sky!!

OR even better, just get Virgin Phone and Broadband AND a hooky cable box ;)

The block im moving to already has a single satellite dish with aeriel points to each flat.

Does that mean i could get Sky connected with no installation cost, but Virgin or Telewest would charge me?

We've got the Virgin phone/tv/bb one - fucking brilliant. Some of the download speeds have been unreal.

At first I thought I'd miss some of the Sky channels but Sky One is shite, the movie ones all play crap constantly so the only thing I miss is Sky Sports - but that's what pubs are for..

Vin, ive got a sky box off ebay for 20 quid that i connected to the satellite connection points in my gaff.... you get all the 'free to air' channels for free that way (My flat has absolutely terrible ariels so im forced into using satellite).

The only 'regular' ones it doesnt get is ITV1+2 and channel 4+5 .... which if you want to get, it will cost you a 20 quid card from sky .... after youve bought that, it costs you nowt.

OR just get a 10-20 quid freeview box, and phone from bt these days costs 12 quid or something, and then broadband prolly costs about 10-20 quid. I suppose that way at least you arent commited to a sky contract or anything.

when i move out of the rent's gaff i'm not going to bother even getting a landline installed. whats the point?

they'll be less telesales companies with my mobile number, so the nine or ten calls around tea time every day wont happen.

    ipso facto.
