Phone companies? Do they still offer to buy out your existing contract? im not due an upgrade for a while yet and quite fancy that n97 thats just came out? any ideas?
I know Phones4U and Carphone Warehouse definitely do it, but be careful to ask whoever supplies your existing contract what the buyout fee is before you go in- I've heard of loads of people who've been ripped off hundreds of pounds because they've been quoted a rough estimate, and there's no going back once they give you the money in your hand!
aye, ive got a massive amount left on my contract like. do you kno if you can keep the same number and what not? same deal or do you have to transfer onto there equivalent?
You need to get a PAC code from whoever you're with now, then when you register that with your new supplier it cancels your contract and moves your number over. You have to change networks if you want to keep your number though, 'cos you can't port a number from one contract to another on the same network for some reason. I'd be suprised if you got a good deal on the phone to be honest- It's the latest handset out, it's mega expensive and they're already going to be giving you a big wad of cash to pay you out of contract. They're going to have to make money out of you somehow...
