Pete Robinson & Nick Adams 'Breakfast Tray'

My first joint production 'Breakfast Tray' is finally finished and in the 'Discography' part of my website ready to download. Its a Dirty but Funky House Track with an electic guitar riff played by Nick Adams and myself on the vocals. Just click on the link below:

    Breakfast Tray

Its also the first track on my latest mix CD (May 2004) which should hopefully be up on the Promise Website soon. Any Feedback Would be appreciated:)

    Cheers...

    Cheers mate,

All the samples used from the guitar to the vocals are original too. The reaction when I've played it out has been really good as well, I played it at Promise's 4th Birthday Party and Goodgreef vs Promise @ Ikon as well:)

    The Lyrics...

The Lyrics were inspired by someones Signature on the message board that I read ages ago and basically say 'Dance all night, Fuck all day, Snort Cocaine from a Breakfast Tray' Hence the name 'Breakfast Tray'

The lyrics are spoken by myself and a friend of mine called Stephan Minnikan (Mini on the Board) and the female vocal is sang by a girl called Racheal Davidson.

As for the Tom Neville 'Just Fuck' relation, if you listen to the lyrics they are kind of telling you to do everything that Tom Neville tells you not to in 'Just Fuck' so we were gonna call it the (Fuck Tom Neville mix) but he's a sound bloke and we didn't really want to offend him, so just called it (A deep, down and dirty original mix). The rest of the samples are all original and made by ourselves :)

had a listen, sounded good but the only thing that didnt really agree with me was the "snort cocaine from a breakfast tray".

I mean, the dance scene has a dodgy enough reputation as it is and lyrics like that dont really do it any favours. Many other tunes have elaborate insinuations that are blatant references to drug use (because lets face it the dance scene goes hand in hand with drug use), but saying it just plainly seems a bit crude imo.

Other than that productionwise it is very good, i cant fault it because i'm not familiar at all with production (yet).

    Keep it up.

i quite like the guitar and synthy bass. Im not keen on the percs, and i dont really like the vocal, like everyone has said, its a bit tom neville....I think you might need to do some more mastering too, the bass drum, kick and clap are a bit loud, and the bass/guitar should be brought out more, as they get lost, and they are the best bit.

keep up the work tho! :)

how about sumit a bit more original next time cos the production sounds fine but the tune just sounds like a neville wannabe?
