I was on my way to the bus last night having finished work in washington next to the galleries when i was aproached by a rather churlish young man who asked me if i would like a skunk , Shocked and taken aback slightly at the thought of an international animal smuggling ring operating from a bus stand i decided to delve into a conversation with this animal carrier . I asked if he had any Savvana Baboons ? to which he replied :-

" ner hew mista but a nah sum body what diz " After pausing to consulting my chav to english dictionary i nodded and smiled

So then can you get me any other animals ?

Ah the penny had dropped I patted the young man on the head told him he was special then got on my bus !

depends on whose definition you believe/take.

many people argue that it refers to people with a specific genome (ie white/black/whatever) and does not extend to nationality as that is already a predefined term...

the inclusion of nationals into its definition only appears in certain texts and is therefore questionable imo.

Nobody argues that. It is universally accepted that it can apply to nationality.

If it didn't, then discriminating against someone on the basis of nationality would logically be nationalism, which, of course, it's not. It's racism.

well in keeping with being a twat i'll further my point...

the inclusion of nationality into race is derived from the idea of population genetics, coming from the fact that in days of yore different nationality's were more isolated than today and adapted to this environment and thru the process of natural selection in effect changed their genome. this is still true today in some cases where race & nationality can overlap (pakistani/indian etc) but not in other, colonialised nations (Canada usa etc...omitting native americans of course).

it has however like much of the english language been butchered, mainly by the americans some may say to have a different meaning than its original, logical definition.

and i'm not going to pander to the americans needs, remembering the fact that 2 wrongs don't make a right - you are in some respects correct as the term racist has been bastardised to include nationality, but it shouldn't be!
