    PC running slow as ****

All of a sudden my PC has started running slow as fuck doing things it would normally be ok with

I have ran a registry cleaner, my installed virus checker and housecall aswell as 3 different spyware checkers and i am clean, its doing my nut

As an example i was using windows media player and msn messenger earlier and when i clicked 'ctrl alt del' it was saying my cpu was being 100% used which isn't normal & certainly cant be right?

I am running XP SP2, 3.2GHZ Pentium 4 HT and have 512 RAM. Up till Monday it was bang on and now this?

    Help me please someone :(

You reckon it could be a hardware fault then? Like my RAM packing up or something?

Do a CTRL+ALT+DEL, and go to the processes tab.

Check your CPU usage at the bottom of the window, if it's running at 100% then something is taking up loads of your processor's time.

Click on the CPU column to sort by which process is using the most CPU time, then post which ones are hogging it (0 being nothing, 90+ being lots)

It seems to be ok when i first switch it on then it has fits and starts. The fits usually being when i try to do more than one thing at a time ie come on the board/use windows media player...

It won't even play traktor at all anymore
