PC Furrkkkeedddd I have just downloaded Ableton before off some hooky site and i think paid the price The PC's running slow as fuck, there's pop up's all over the place from MS Security / MS Antivirus and there's desktop ikons for "Gay / Lesbian Porn" and "Porn DVD's" which when deleted coming back - the pop ups are also Windows Security Centre / Windows Security System yet there not cos when clicked on take me to some site to install summit? I am currently running AVG / Spybot and even restarted the PC from Monday just gone, is there owt else i can do? The Icons list at the bottom is all just Yellow Triangles and Red Circles with white crosses in never mind the constant security alerts and warnings and all sorts. Cheers
eew that sounds nasty run avg, if that doesnt find anything, run a housecall scan, then once you know the culprits name, do a google for the cleaner/instructions on how to remove if its any consolation my 6800 gfx card just burnt out yesterday - i knew i shouldnt have been talking about an upgrade when gta4 came out
OK, boot into safe mode, then run AVG, Spybot, Ad-Aware. Then boot into normal mode and run Trendmicro's Housecall - http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ Then get yourself a copy of Tuneup Utilities 2008 - http://www.tune-up.com/download/ Use the free trial. There's all sorts of options here that will help your system. Use the following: Tuneup Startup manager - look for anything that looks suspect and uncheck the box. Make sure you read the description on the left though and don't disable anything that it advises not to. or anything you know you are using. Tuneup Registry Defrag, Tuneup Registry Cleaner, Finally, Tuneup Repair Wizard. There's options here to sort out the problems with the icons you mentioned. It's also worth using Tuneup Uninstall Manager, for anything else you may not need. If this doesn't fix your problems, then a pretty sure way of sorting it out would be to get a copy of the Geek Squad MRI. It may take a while to download as it looks pretty rare on public trackers, but it does the job. It will take a good 8 hours or more to perform the tests though. I have a pretty up to date system and that's a minimum for me. Here's one place it's at.. http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4320464/MRI_5.0.0.0_CRACKED-SOLDIERX obviously i don't condone hooky downloads though
Yeah it's got solid reports from the place I got it. It does all sorts of hardware tests and makes a report so you can see if any parts of your system has a problem. It does software tests too but I don't know any info on them. One thing I noticed, is it downloads a load of updated components for the top virus scanners.. probably spyware too, and then runs several tests. TBH, you'll have to read up on it, as when I used it my computer was on a downward spiral so I just jumped at the chance to get it running again and see if it was hardware of software related. It's a very thorough piece of software though. Highly recommended amongst all the geeky people at the place I got it from.
Mr B's proper baffled me as much as it will fix it I will download that programme Kyle Anyone else any other ideas, will re-setting it back to a later date work or will the little fucking cretins still be there? I mighta known when i have just had it cleaned up n that this would happen
Re: PC Furrkkkeedddd If u want ableton ill upload it for u, ive the full cracked versions 4 5 6 7 and lite. Im fuckin ggutted tho at the min, am on the livinroom pc, me laptops hard drive had a "cluster" very rare, is totaly fucked so gonna go get a new 1 soon n hoy vista bk on it. Sick of fuckin computers like 3rd time this has happend lol. Ill edit this: im now havin to pay fuckin £45 for a SATA HD 160gig as theres no 80s left arrrghhh
One of the pop ups which now keeps appearing is : "Widows Security Alert" Which then goes on to name a trojan-spy-win32.greenscreen Risk Level - Critical Description You then get the only one option and thats to Enable Protection which takes you to some website, nowt to do with the PC. Tried to search for the pop up on the PC but fuck all The rest seem to of calmed down now ave scanned etc.
Hope ya get it sorted john, ill pm u those links asap. Had a terrible day like lol fuckin HD packed in, bought a new 1, formatted it installed windows to find Nothin was installe,d no drivers not even my ethernet or wi-fi driver, almost done like, only been at it since half 5  soon as this fuckers done am off out to get wrecked.
Christ, am now officialy sick of my life, even sicker than b4 just installed a new hard drive as the fucker packed in. Now, every now and again, the laptop trips off randomly after being on 15/20mins & no vents r blocked, nd when i feel the bottom of it its like a bastard oven!, the cpu cooler isnt doing its job, this isnt constant tho. But ffs what next! Edit: ive just found the problem, when i stick the laptop on sleep to go do sumthin, i take it off sleep and the CPU cooler fan does nothing, not a fuckin thing. But soon as i restart itl work again as normal. I worked as a pc engineer, & ive built/serviced them for donkeys & ive never came accross this b4 like . Ive heard of a full PSU failure/breakdown but this is a different kettle of fish Edit Again: Sussed, the little sneaky bassstid was my hibernate settings. Heres the problem>>> incase any vista users have the same problem. This has turnt out to be 1 hell of a problem as that info above didnt work at all lol. Ive managed to get Hibernation back, any1 with windows vista running a notebook/laptop, donot put your system to "sleep" mode if youve ticked all the boxes when doing a disc cleanup. When u tick the hibernation box then clean up, its ment to just reset it but coz microsoft r fucking greedy bastards and released vista with tons of bugs still unknown, it totaly Frys the whole hibernation option & the cpu fan sensor goes with it. So if youve done disc cleanup and deleted hibernation, sticking ur laptop to sleep will more or less fuck ur cpu, a was lucky a had a fan in my room so just held the laptop infront to cool the little fucker down . Ull know if u have my problem, not sure if its the same crack with a desktop, but click Start and go to the arrow asif u were shutting down & if Hibernate is not in the list, uve fell into the trap.
