At the tender age of 17, Paul is already proving his skills and producing some outstanding trance and progressive music. We think you'll be hearing a lot more of him in the future. Despite his young age, Paul has managed to create two very mature sounding tracks for this EP. Both tracks fuse together some neo-trance percussive sounds and uplifiting melodies, creating a warm, deep and full sound. With 'Orion', the title track, Paul has taken a simple approach. Built on top of a solid kick, and sparkling percussion, Paul gradually introduces a beautiful melody. The melody has a melancholic feel and works well against the bassline and electro-tinged stabs. With the build up in the breakdown, the lead melody progresses futher with the help of a well placed piano, before continuing on the journey. This is a great track, even if we do say so our selves. Completing the EP is 'Meteor Shower'. This track has a similar approach to 'Orion' with the addition of some great atmosphere building pads. The track is reminicent of Niklas Harding's progressive trance sound, with it's great melodic elements. With the break, we're presented with a rich syth sound as the track builds. The track continues to please with a great side-chained feel, adding an element of bounce. This is a great release from Paul, and we're sure you'll agree.
