Patriotic TV programmes...

    Patriotic TV programmes...

    Is there a conspiracy here or not....?

    Reccently there have been loads of patriotic programmes on tv, why? whos asked for them to be put on? reccently ive noticed programmes about what would have happened if we hadnt won the 2nd world war, programmes about winston churchill and various others.

    Personally, i think that all these programmes are being put on to inspire patriotic feelings and to make us want to trust our country and not fear terrorist attacks. Have the government requested these programmes to be put on, is it propergander? Or are the TV companies trying to make money and increase viewing ratings bypraying on the tense feelings and fears that the UK public have at the moment?

    you & reality t.v.....you're like a grumpy old man who has nowt better to do than rant on about reality t.v. shows....makes ppl watch them more even tho u don't cos they want to c what they shouldn't b watching...so therefore your causing them to have loads of serieseseses!! :p

    it's all ratings. public security is something that is in the public eye right now, and programmes that inspire feelings of national strength and security stand a good chance of scoring well in the ratings game.

    also, a lot of these documentaries etc have uncovered interesting information... no conspiracy in my eyes - just it's something that the broadcasters know will interest the public... and thats all they care about.

    don't make me laugh...if alcohol & weed had been found at the same time alcohol would be the ilegal substance...where as ket wud still b illegal regardless of when it came about! :)

    ket isnt illegal, its only illegal to sell it without a licsense, which is why if u get caught with it, they try to do you for attempting to supply it, rather than posetion!

    weeds been around alot longer than alcohol, it was only made illegal in the 30's (dejavu :rolleyes: ) alcohol wasnt, coz it is too much of a money maker...
