Patrick Kluivert is fighting to save his future at St James' Park.

While it is widely believed that the Dutchman signed a three-year contract with United, Chronicle Sport can reveal that in fact this is not the case.

Kluivert is only tied to United on a 12-month deal with both sides having the option of extending it for another two years.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For me he aint up to that much over 90mins, he has the best control of any player to ever play in the Premiership but he needs to start being a great goalscorer rather than a scorer of great goals.

agreed but i dont see shearer scoring many either, kluivert seems to drop quite deep and play from there, his control and passing is world class but like u sed he needs goals, i hope he still signs, his second season might be better, once all players knows how he plays etc

This could be down to fact Al aint played the last 3 games & if you havent noticed Shearer scoring than you aint been watching many games as the Lion is the Toons top goalscorer with 10goals.

yeah injury i know, most of them are in the uefa cup ;) tbf i think trying to get at least uefa cup spot for next season is number 1 priority at the moment and by the looks of things where goin to be mid table at the end of the season the way things are goin at the minute. we need goals in the league (and maybes stopping goals being scored against us), yeah shearer hasnt played last few games ;)

bellamy has 7 league goals and 2 uefa - 9
    shearer 5league, 5uefa - 10
    kluivert, 3 league, 4uefa - 7

He couldnt drag a ball out of the air at shoulder height ala Bergkamp & Mr Zola wasnt exactly a rapist.

Bergkamp has the best first touch by far. Go watch his WC goal againt the Argies and bow down :worship:

kluivert was never a 20 goal a season man at barca... he is not a goalscorer like shearer so you cant expect too many goals.

I have watched Paddy K control all sorts of hoofs from Robbie Elliot,Hughsie & O'B & he controls them like no-one else I have ever seen.

He's genuis at holding the ball up and playing players in but needs to dig in. If he put his head in where he might get hurt he might also get 10 more goals a season.
