Its Feb 25th 1995. Where was you? What were you doing? I remember what I was doing. To me it was my Princess Diana moment, my JFK got shot moment, it was the day that Passion came alive.

In an unknown town called Coalville and an unknown new dance night called Passion we had booked a massive dance legend called TODD TERRY from New York to headline the first ever Passion event.

Not knowing if anyone would turn up or if anyone was was interested we opened the doors with fear in our eyes and expectation in our hearts.

The people followed, and Passion was born. To a packed house Todd Terry was the first of many international superstar DJ's to help turn Coalville into Coolville.

Within three years all the biggest names wanted to play Passion as its international acclaim as the worlds best atmosphere grew and grew.

Tony Devit, Chris & James, Boy George, Jeremy Healy, Judge Jules, Fat Tony, Danny Rampling, Seb Fontaine, Alex P and Brandon Block, Alistair Whitehead, Tall Paul, John 00 Fleming, Guy Ornadel, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, Mauro Piccoto, Marco V,Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Paul van Dyk, Eddie Halliwell plus a whole host of other DJs made up the line up of weekly talent to pilgrimage through Passions hallowed doors.

But it was one thing and one one thing only that kept those superstar DJs coming back.... the unbelievable Passion atmosphere.

Passion is set in a depressed mining town called Coalville.

A place where nothing special is supposed to shine.

Yet within that darkness a ray of hope was born, somewhere where likeminded people could unload at the weekend, express themselves and be reborn. This euphoria and release was called Passion... your Passion... a place of pure emotion.

Celebrate Passions 14th Birthday and celebrate 14 years of your history.

You are Passion, you are the shining light that burns bright.

    Come on PASSION!!!

I remember going to Passion a few times years back, once when O'Callaghan was on and he was nearly caught up in a bar fight in wetherspoons next to the club during the afternoon as a load of locals kicked each other all over the bar and street outside for a good 30 minutes. Its a nice area like.
