Paraolympics Its quite awe inspiring watching dwarfs and the like swim fast as fuck times, and that South African guy running with two blades as legs. And I actually enjoy wheelchair basketball a lot more than the 'able bodied' version. But I have to ashamedly admit that I had a sly chuckle during the men's and women's 100 meter stumble last night
I had a tear in my eye watching Eleanor Simmonds give her interviews after she won gold, the absolute joy and almost disbelief she expressed was pretty humbling.
I seen about 1 minute of it just as i was flicking through the channels, and it was weird to see a group of ladies running the 100 alongside a big beefy bloke. I couldn't actually work out what the disability was though. The woman ran it in a pretty fast time n all.
Re: Paraolympics he was banned from running against able bodied athletes because in IOC ruled that his phrosthetc limbs allowed him to run using less energy than running with legs uses - thus he could run all out for longer giving him an advantage in 200m 400m and 800m
