Own tracks pressed at chemical records........ Vinyl dubplates are the latest development in dubplate technology. Using a combination of specially made vinyl plates, and a state of the art cutting lathe, these plates have the look and feel of a dubplate, but with the durability of heavy vinyl pressings. Vinyl Dubplate :: The Ultimate Dubplate :: £60.00 (£51.06 exc VAT) Get your own tunes cut on to vinyl - our new vinyl dubplate cutting service lets you upload your files or send them to us on a CD to get them cut on to a high quality vinyl dubplate. Made of thick black vinyl, the plates are processed using pioneering studio technology to give an extremely flat frequency response from 20hz to 20 khz, at levels of over +6db. So with no sound loss at high or low frequencies, these plates stand up well alongside commercial 12 inch records. The plates are hard-wearing too. They don't chip or bend if you drop them, and you can cue up, rewind and scratch with them as often as you like - and unlike acetates you can even clean them with vinyl cleaner and they wont degrade. Supported Formats: The recommended track length is 7.00 minutes. The absolute maximum track length that can be cut is 7.30 minutes. The table below lists the supported file formats - Formats Maximum Upload File Size .mp3 ~25MB .wav ~100MB JavaScript must be enabled in your internet browser to upload files. i was just gonna say that, cant see many people paying £60 for the vinyl when everyones got cd decks now. its much cheaper & easier to play your own stuff off cd's, defo wouldnt pay £60 like!!
it's a good idea, but i'd rather play my stuff on cd until its released (even then i still play it on cd when the pressings are fucked up lol) lets u try something out before its absolutely finished too whereas the pressing would be final, 60 quid is a lot of money for a record you may hate in a couple weeks
There is always some one somewhere that will pay this .. if i didnt have my CDJ's id consider it .. thats if i ever get anything finished ..
Good crack, me and Paul Van have been knocking a few new tunes out at Seghill Tip so a might try and get them pressed before the summer If anyone wants any DJ's wise just drop me a PM. Cheers
Re: Own tracks pressed at chemical records........ sounds like they've got a Vestax Vinyl Cutter Cost about £6000 Blanks are about a tenner But...the sapphire stylus costs about £250 and needs replacing every 20 hours of cutting...
another site i always go on has details of 2 persons who do top notch cuttings.....thats were i go....im sure i paid £20 with a max of 7 0r 10mins each side can get details if required theres nout like havin yur own tune..even better on 12inch..end of story
in fairness it would feel mint to have your own tune on a record like that but i couldnt justify the cost
whats 20 sheets ,i know its 19.80 more than a cd but its bigger, its not a cd and its a record and i cant think of any reason why im even justifing the difference cd lots easier.......but ur own track on 12",must be the old skool in me
im pretty sure they aren't cut, they are proper dubplate efforts. ill ask brisky next time i speak to him. at a guess i would imagine the monster tunes records are pressed on that machine, and they are fuckin mint vinyls to be fair.
if i made a tune i was proud of i,d definetely shell out for a dub plate...but i dont produce so not much chance anytime soon
ethier way you can spray um gold, stick um in a clip frame and show off to thick mates in ur studio off ur tits...they wont notice the difference
