    Outlook freezing @ work

i'm in a right pisser of a situation where outlook freezes when opening.

i've been getting into the habit of restarting using the restart button on the PC, as opposed to using Start > Restart because the computer takes years and i think i've damaged a file causing this problem.

scanning the personal folder when it has realised what i am doing only gets half way and then gives up.

is there any way i can export the Inbox/Drafts/Sent folders and re-install it and import all of my emails back in? this is crucial, i'll be in shit if they are all lost..

what type of mail server u using? pop3 or exchange?

i'd make a backup of your .pst or .ost mail folder befroe doing anything. if it's an exchange server doing your mail, delete your mail profile and it'l copy a new on down off the server (probably)

if it's a pop3 account off the internet, there's an 'inbox repair tool' u can use to try and fix the folder. it's more tricky this way
