Anyone use any sites what allow you to play for fun?I fancy giving it a go after leaning how to play texas hold em last night but fuck betting on it before I've had a mess around

Also is texas hold em the most popular type?Is that what they would play in casinos?

aye texas is the common one, i used to use partypoker betfair have one and i think that pkr poker do one aswell

pretty much all the clients have play money, i'd reccomend blue square

Ive downloaded betfair but can find an option to play for fun, i'll wait till i get paid and chuck a daft 20 quid in see how I get on

There is a decent version on facebook. Once installed if your mates have it too their is a leaderboard for bragging rights.

I usually go up but then I'll start losing it all again. Then once i've lost a few times I start playing differently for some reason, which makes things even worse and I lose even more. Then I'll not go for a while then I'll be good again lol.

Tis odd like you can do ok for a while then play more have the worse run of luck for weeks after and end up even or worse again.

Its at that point u should just walk away, knowing its a bad run (easier said than done!)

I aint had to deposit for over a year now but ive been stuck on about a £1,000 in my acc on Pokerstars for 9 months now ... win a couple of hundred then lose again...

This might be a stupid question, but I've never bet online so don't know, but is that £1000 actual money?

If so why not withdraw most of it? Can't imagine it's much use in an online poker account, and doubt it's earning interest or anthing.

Or do you regularly need that much in games?

my best streak was when i got a $25 "please come back and give us your money" bonus from Party Poker! Ended up getting about £100 off it in one afternoon playing tourneys!

Thats actual cash. Yes i can withdraw it direct into my bank acc or get them to send me a cheque.

But u need a bankroll to play with at same time.
