    Are you ready to FIRE IT UP Newcastle? Global superstar DJ EDDIE HALLIWELL, famed for being the most frenetic and technical showman on stage in the dance music world, will be making his much-anticipated return to the toon on FRIDAY OCTOBER 14th 2011, setting the city of Newcastle Upon Tyne alight once again with his famous FIRE IT UP party at DJ Mag’s Best Of British Club 2010, DIGITAL.

    With his debut track, NEON and new label FIUR under his belt, Eddie is set to return to Digital with a bang, joined by fellow luminaries including; hot producer/re-mixer of the moment MICHAEL WOODS, rising star JORDAN SUCKLEY, Tiesto’s protégé KRYDER and local hero GARY PROUD - all set to bring Newcastle to a complete meltdown with an explosive night of fully fired up carnage across 3 rooms!

    Bollocks, was one of the sets of the weekend bar the overuse of the Mic, perfect set time for his 'new' style, no FX abuse, awesome structure and flawless mixing as per. :)

    mate you must of been off your nuts like - flawless mixing but there was a huge amount of FX abuse! He just hasn't changed really, thats why i was dissapointed :(

    saying that, he's the only trance oriented DJ i went to see though the whole weekend anyway!

    Not really, he's gone from Hard House to Tech Trance and now plays a kind of cross between House, Electro and 'Funky' Trance.

    What is funky trance?

    To be fair he's been playing really shit house & electro for years. I only liked him from about 2006 - ?, when he was smashing out absolutely driving as fuck trance.

    His promise sets were hideous music.

    What I would class as 'funky' trance would be this so called Trouse (not my term). Crossover tracks between house and trance. Last time I saw Eddie (over a year ago) he was playing anything from the Swedes, Pryda etc through to some of Jordan Suckleys stuff and a bit of Garuda style tracks towards the end of his set.
