Nu Crasher @ Gatecrasher One, Sheffield – Tuesday 7.3.06

NU CRASHER @ GATECRASHER ONE, SHEFFIELD – TUESDAY 7.3.06

Nu Crasher provides the perfect midweek tonic for what is otherwise considered to be a time to be ‘slogged through’, in order to reach the haven of the weekend!

Experience the midweek to the fullest, at Gatecrasher One in Sheffield, with Gatecrasher bringing headline and new talent along the lines of the Thrillseekers, John O’Callaghan, Riley & Durrant, Stevie G and Will Holland. Galaxy FM’s renown ‘Nu Breed’ show hosts our Electronic Box for the evening – with Activa, Denney, Kane, Funk Junkies taking control. Tomorrow’s talent, today.

Recently, Gatecrasher One saw one of the finest events the brand has ever put on. On the 18th of February of this year, the club was rammed to the rafters for the Gatecrasher Classics Album Tour, where the likes of JFK, Solarstone, John Kelly and many others were noted to be on excellent form. The club also hosts successful weekend and midweek nights along the lines of Blessed, D>SKO, Hed Kandi , Defected, and other varied nights.

Nu Crasher really is about tomorrow’s talent, on showcase for a very much reduced entry fee, still with the seal of quality that you’d come to expect.

The THRILLSEEKERS’ (also known as Steve Helstrip) new production outing ‘By Your Side’ has a lot to live up to. ‘Dreaming Of You’ and ‘Synaesthesia’ are two of the biggest trance classics to date. Steve’s new ‘Night Music Volume 1’ is also sure to add to the excitement of yet another major headliner to a Gatecrasher event.

For someone who could be considered to have not been on the scene for too long, the fact that JOHN O’CALLAGHAN’s name is so far up the line up speaks dividends of the current impact he is having. Original productions for a variety of labels (predominantly for the Discover, Discover Dark and Flux Deluxe stable) together with the remixes he has completed for the likes of Dogzilla, Agnelli & Nelson, Fred Baker, Brisky and countless others have lead to worldwide acclaim from some of the trance scene’s greatest. In 2005, in DJ Mag, Paul Van Dyk predicted “…John is a major up and coming talent, and will definitely break through soon…”

RILEY & DURRANT, better known as Andi Durrant and Nick Riley, are one of the scene’s most recent success stories. You just wonder if these guys get time to sleep with all they have going on. Running numerous Galaxy FM shows, an extensive and ever-growing gig diary, Gatecrasher residents, production and remixes for the likes of Black Hole (Holland), Yazuka (Holland) and a whole lot more!

STEVIE G could be considered to be the new kid on the block, but in reality he’s been Gatecrasher for quite some time now – and things are progressing very well! A regular on the Classics nights as well as Nu Crasher, Stevie has been busy himself with his own production as well as working with other well known parties such as Out Of The Blue.

WILL HOLLAND’s recent rise to stardom continues with his notably consistently original production and remixes – and a gig diary that features the likes of Gatecrasher, Passion, Goodgreef, Slinky and Wildchild. A prominent feature on the airwaves, Will is most noted for his productions like 'Summer Breeze' and 'Timeless' on his own Enhanced Recordings label, as well as remixing and releasing on the likes of Bonzai, Platipus, Monster Tunes and Connected.
