Is this badboy worth the £245 for the beginner producer wanting to add some hardware to their setup?

yeah its a good synth mate, I've used one many of time before.

yeah your right it does have a few extra features that the k-station doesn't

personally i would get the v-station as they are very similar and the software is so much easier to manage, especially if you are still learning.

very good synth imo unless you really want grungy saws then you have to be looking for stuff by other manufacturers then anyway

You cant beat the hands on feel with a hardware synth though.

for making sounds and presets and stuff hardware is much easier to use, but for making tunes software is just so much easier to handle in a studio environment.
