    Not happy about last night!!!

Good music and all last night, all the DJs were brilliant and Jules was happy to accept the CD's i took along for him! BUT...

I was not at all happy with the bouncers, a bunch of propper knobs if you ask me. Now i dont know if they work for Foundation or Promise, but i know that if i was the promoter (and i have ran few nights myself in the past) i would certainly not be happy with the way they treat customers.

What was the situation with upstairs? There was not enough seating for all the people in the club, upstairs was far to crowded and half of it was closed off. Due to the lack of seating, people were going round the closed off area and having a sit down - not causing any trouble at all, just taking a break. Yet everytime, people were getting chased away, and the security staff were speaking to people like shit! Disgraceful!

THEN, later in the night myself and girlfriend got a bit hungry, we went out the front and politely asked if it was ok to nip out to get a snack - 'NO! NO FUCKING NO!' Even though I had the tickets in my hand it was still 'I'VE JUST TOLD YOU, NOOOOOOO!' Whats the point of giving us tickets / receipt if we can't use them?

Well Promise, you've just lost yourself another customer, because i aint paying £13 to be treated like that, there are plently of other good clubs to go to in the north east - who will respect the paying customer!

how would you feel if you had gurning messes in your face all night, they are just doing their job, putting a brave face on, they must come accross so many c'unts at a night at work, so to them, every1 is the same, a gurning mess that they have to put up with all night!

i do think they could be a bit nicer though!

They did seem abit pushier than usual last night, maybe it was something to do with the crowd size etc. Still said 'cya' etc when leaving.
Ive never found them to be anyworse than any other nightclub, probably better than some.

The whole security industry needs some kind of shake up - as much as clubs can be dangerous places that need decent staff on hand .. that doesnt mean we need a bunch of roughnecks who scare the shit out of everyone.

Theres the same risk at football clubs and other places ... and they have completely different staff on hand .. so why do nightclubs have to get a completely different breed of people.

Ive never personally had any proper grief that was my fault (apart from being kicked out of a club for questioning a mate getting the knockback 10 seconds after i was let in) ... but i feel sorry for anyone who gets the rough treatment.

They wouldn't let me go out to the car to get a jacket and come back in....said it was club policy in case I was going out to get drugs...

I have been spoken to and treat like shit by the bouncers in foundation (for no reason I might add!) but at the same time I've seen them deal with people who have been thrown out etc., very well.

As Kerry said it's a tough job, but considering they are supposed to be there for our safety they do a good job of convincing us otherwise at times!

I don't like the attitudes of the bouncers at Foundation, however they aren't employed for their high IQ. If they're big, agressive and look hard they'll do.

That about sums up bouncers imo... I rarely feel comfortable around them... can be a law unto themselves.

Re: Not happy about last night!!!

    lolololol!! ya fooking dafty!!
first ov all what do u expect the club to do, go and buy and install a seat per person..??!! the club wasnt at its fullest so thats probs why some ov the upstairs was closed off so everyone wasnt scattered all ova making the club not look so busy!! people werent meant to be sitting there so the security staff hav every reason 2 move people and people should do what they say you cant go to a club and start making up ur own rules about where ur meant to go!!
and can u imagine what a shambles it wud be if they willingly let everyon wander in and out of promise!! they dont in most clubs so why on earth should it be any different for you!! one rule for everyone else and another 4 u..??!! i think not ma dear!!

I think its fair enough to allow someone to leave the club for a breather/some food/to phone someone and let them back in. I've been let out before and back in twice in one night but they wouldn't let me a third time, when it was actually busier on the door and there was a bit of a queue for them to deal with.

Even if they insisted on searching them for drugs, people should be let out of a club and back in. You have paid for it, and they even give you tickets.

First of all, i didn't say i expected the place to have a seat for everyone, but it was well crowded upstairs and there were by far enough seats available, just the bouncers being sh*t heads that they are chasing away anybody trying to get comfortable. Fair enough if they wanted the club to appear smaller, but when the crowed is overflowing, surely they could just accept the fact the people wanted to sit down.

Honestly, i didn't actually get chased away, i was just watching everyone else. And it happend time after time.

Secondly, most clubs do actually let you in & out - thats what the hand stamps or tickets / reciepts are for!

Now, I've never been a trouble maker, and i usually walk away from a fight, but last night i really felt like twating one of them on the way out - the one with the attitude! Good job i didn't!

It's not fair being locked into a club all night though - there are many genuine reasons for wanting to leave and come back in. If you have a ticket, you should be able to use it.
