Little bro' lives in Stavanger and says it's as expensive as fook but not sure if it's worse there because of all the British oil workers and their obscene salaries.

The lads that go over say it is really expensive so I'd take a fair amount just to live on..

£12 for a chinky takeaway
£2.50 for a loaf of bread
£6 a pint of sh*t beer
etc etc

dont get a taxi, the meter starts at £10 and then about £1 every 100m

Norwegions are nice people but are robbing bastards at the same time.
If your planning on going out on the town here in stavanger dont bother till about 11.30pm, nobody goes out before then. All the norwegions stay in drinking home brew till then cos they cant afford to go out any earlier :spangled: but the whole place is open till about 5 in the morning. The nightclubs are crap and cheesy but the bars down by the harbour are great.

oh and its bloody cold bring a coat

it's gorgeous, try and do a trip down a Fijord if you can, everything is expensive because they have to import loads of stuff.
