Nochnoy Dozor (Night Watch) Plot Outline: A fantasy-thriller set in present-day Moscow where the respective forces that control daytime and night time do battle Review: This movie is the first part of a Russian fantasy trilogy. The storyline is about the forces of dark and light fighting each other through out the years, the master of light and the lord of darkness have a treaty of peace with each other and neither side can break the treaty without waging war on the other. The nightwatch men are the warriors of light watching over the darkness and the daywatch men are the other way round. The movie has allsorts of fantasy monsters in it like vampires, shape shifters and seers (sp) fighting against each other. The acting is decent, the storyline from this first part is pretty good but it had me lost at times and the special effects aren’t all that good but it’s to be expected with it not being a big blockbuster. I cant get into describing characters and plots because it will give the movie away but if you like fantasy movies and have the attention span to really get into the movie I think you'll like it. It’s very dark in parts and confusing in others but I don’t know if it’s the subtitles that maybe are a bad translation leaving parts out but at the end everything comes into perspective and makes sense. I’ve got the second part to watch later this week so I'll review that when I get chance. My Rating: 8/10 View Trailer Here
