Nice Touch Just got this email from shindig:We would like to thank everyone who attended Shindigs 12th birthday event at Times Square, helping us achieve our ambition of making it our best party yet. Not only do we feel priveleged to stage the only outdoor city centre dance event in the country this year, we are also greatly heartened by the response of all who were there. As we are sure you will agree all the DJs were amazing, the production was fantastic, and the atmosphere in every venue was unbelievable. To see Nic Fanciulli (who came specially to play the afterparty) Erick Morillo, Steve Lawler, Dubfire, and Lexicon Avenue all taking turns to play a record each in Foundation would be a sight for any fan of dance music to behold. However, we would also like to take this opportunity to aplolgise for the high cost of drinks on the night. As part of the planning and the arrangement to use existing premises on Times Sq, and therefore enhance the event, we had to strike a deal with the owners Trafalgar Leisure. This meant Shindig had no control over drinks prices and were ourselves shocked at the tariffs imposed. On a brighter note we will now start exploring new sites to deliver a new and unique experience for you next year. Vive la Shindig. Fair play to them, it was never going to run as smoothly as everyone wanted it to cos it aint ever been done before.
Re: Nice Touch Agreed.. I was just in a bad mood this morning cause I realised how much money I drank ... good to meet you mate.
Re: Re: Nice Touch It is still a fair way and I doubt any of the DJs got paid any extra for playing at Foundation afterwards just cos they wanted to
Re: Re: Nice Touch Craig> i remember meeting you cos i remember what you look like and you accent. Just can't remember where, when, or what i said! :spangled:
Re: Re: Re: Nice Touch I had my first fag in about a year because of you... we also had a pretty long chat inside and outside coco v
I'm pretty supportive like that when it comes to non-smoking!! Remeber seeing you sitting outside now, on the windowsill i think? Still don't remember what was said though! Good to meet you though, will maybe see you if you come in for more of them pitchers
Re: Re: Re: Nice Touch He had a another gig to play at and really should have gone home after boro. Him staying up meant he got wasted and got a flight at half five Monday morning. All for free too as none of the DJs got paid for Foundation. Fair play to the lot of them.
