    SHINDIG: SAT 4th JULY - NIC FANCIULLI / KOS / I:CUBE / MARK LOWRY

After a hefty tour across America's finest cities, one of our favorite guests-Nic Fanciulli and the Global Underground crew land at Shindig this Saturday.

As the freshest face to don the sleeve of GU's latest compilation series "GU 001", the matured, acclaimed and globetrotting Dj / Producer brings his multitude of sounds, combining raw, uncompromising techno and organic deeper house that have made his past extended sets unmissable..

Its hard to take Fanciulli, with his many productions under his Buick Project and Skylark monikers out of the rising star bracket as he continues to present outstanding, eclectic mixes: spanning stunning ambient, dubstep, house and techno. The Saved Records boss has proved his worth time and again with numerous successful projects, studio collaborations and countless memorable Shindig visits..This Saturday alongside his Tour Dj, Kos, expect a full Global Underground production as one the scenes biggest talents takes control of the dance-floor.

Nicholas Chaix AKA I:Cube rose to electronic music fame at the same time groups like Daft Punk, Bob Sinclar, Cassius and Air did during the mid 90’s at a time when French dance music had burst onto the global electronic music scene. The French Dj and Producer etches a contemporary future disco and house sound into The Terrace Bar this week, having pioneered this own sound with the much heralded label Versatile. As production outfit "Chateau Flight" his outings on Innervisions, Get Physical and recently Simple have fitted the bill for late night/early morning departures into the deeper depths of electronic music.

    NIC FANCIULLI

After a hefty tour across America’s finest cities, one of our favorite guests-Nic Fanciulli, rising star Kos, and the Global Underground crew land at Shindig this Saturday.

It’s been a long road for Nic: From being a shy, talented DJ plying his trade as resident at his local club, to becoming a global superstar, the rise and rise of Nic Fanciulli has been well documented. He has graced countless covers of the most respected dance publications whilst his name repeatedly pops up when clubbers discuss the finest DJ talent in recent years.

Shindig takes a look back a some of the albums and singles that have shaped Nic’s sound and his slow and sure rise to the top of the house heap, going all the way back to tracks that could be heard as the fresh faced Club Class resident took to the Shindig decks on Melbourne Street more than 7 years ago..

    Read Here..

Awesome night. Outside The Tyne during the day and Shindig at night. I'm sure I wasn't the only one. I'd not heard of Fanciulli before last night but he was class. The only bad thing was not getting any sleep at all!

Its not really the same 'community' feel any more eh. We used to be on this forum 5+ years ago doing reviews of every night, posting up loads of photos and stuff ..... but now its all just done to death.

Having said that, i bet if it was the last one ever and it was still at Foundation, i bet people would have cared alot more.

    Brilliant day/Night.

Habit was quality & the weather held out the majority of the day which was a blessing. Headed over to see Fanciulli about 1ish & he opened tough as fuck.
I thought Jacko had been revived when I seen Laverty's face as Fanciulli came on (never even knew you rated the bloke?) ;)

Total right off by the end of the night - All good :)

the couple i've been to this year have all been quiet, real shock. my excuse for poor turn outs is age/kids/cash - dunno what the whiper-snapers have to moan about!!

That's partly the reason why it's all coming to an end.. even around 600 , which used to be a decent amount in summer in foundation.. looks like peas rattling round a tin in Digital when 150 of them are out on the terrace smoking aswell.

But those sort of numbers and less have been more and more often this year, I guess it's just a sign of the times for a weekly clubnight.. and few other factors I'd rather not go into on a message board.
