Newcastle Utd out of the big time....? Anyone read the Metro this morning? A 'business expert' is claiming united are now out of the 'big time' in terms of the Premiership's big financial players. His analysis stems from the financial results revealed showing a drop in profits... apparently attempts to deflate the size of Dyer's head contributed to the downturn. A Newcastle spokesperson refused to comment.
The Metro Newcastle made an 8.3m* profit, now go & find me all the clubs who make more than that. MUFC profits are down & there figure doesnt inculde the Rooney deal, Toon figures do not include the Woody income. Our figures came out the same week as a certain North London club go & ask Buddybenson about them :SNIIGGER: Rob/Sleepy: the snigger smilie is still not working *=profits after paying £5.3m off the debts
Now, now. :tut: The Metro only print the information they get from the Press Association which is also used by teletext, tabloids etc.
Trancetwit was on about profit, tell me how much profit did Spurs make last year? Thanks for the balanced views from the Spurs Trust website
what's yer point Spencer?! We made a loss last year - through speculating on players and sacking off expensive has-beens. You boys made a healthy profit in the 80s - mainly from selling players to the bigger clubs Is profit the be-all and end-all? Its about trophies at the end of the day
Re: Newcastle Utd out of the big time....? ha ha never how can we be out off the big time when next year the joint venture with mgm casinos starts and the work on the new addidas superstore begins
Re: Re: Newcastle Utd out of the big time....? Canning Bingo Club (West Ham) are also starting a casino venture - does that make them a big club
My point is Trancetube raised a point from the Metro about cash when realitiy the realitiy is £ per £ we are doing better than most clubs, our dips in profit (NOTE: PROFIT) is no worse than the few other clubs that ares still making a profit Foolish boy, we did not make a profit in the 80's as most of the rebuiding of the ground was done or paid for in the 80's.
yes and I fail to see why the vicious attack on Spurs who had no part in this debate until you brought them up Re the 80s, the ground had one stand re-built (correct me if i'm wrong). By 1993 and promotion to the top league it had not significantly changed. It was only at that point that it began to be rebuilt to the shape it is today?
Vicious attack Tranctube was talking about money & I knew Spurs results came out this week so I thought it would be topical for you as well Jamie. I think you will find we bought 2 stands in the 80's the East & West.
Guys you have to remember whenever any1 pokes fun at the mags spence ALWAYS re-directs the attacks to elsewhere
It doesnt matter that they havent won anything tho!! They still are a massive successful team!!!!!!!! (or so they all keep tellin me!!!  )
