If I was manager I would try my hardest to keep Beye, Steven Taylor, Bassong & Enrique

Even tho we have shipped goals, these 4 looked quite solid. Always going to let goals in when your midfield is non-existant. Bassong will be the hardest to keep, potentially the only player we will make any money on

I would sell all the strikers, including Pele Ameobi & Carroll, I do think they could even cut it in the Championship.

Thats going to be our downfall, our team is going to totally change & will need games to gel - i reckon West Brom will piss the league. They wont need to sell anyone & anyone bought will only strengthen their team

I dunno how we can be favourites like - we have no manager or anyone in a position to try & buy people!

if we keep beye i'll be happy, but the only thing in our favour is his age (30/31?). he'd be great in the championship though. i'd love to keep steven taylor and bassong, but bassong will be a definite to go and taylor is very likely. enrique should stay though, and he's shown himself not to be bad over the last half of the season.

in terms of our midfield we need loads out. danny guthrie will be a great player if he stays, and butt's experience has to be an asset. nolan would perhaps be canny but i wouldn't be bothered if we lost him. ryan taylor should stay though, and is another one who would be solid.

we've lost owen and martins will go. viduka will probably go but if we managed to keep him (on massively reduced wages) he'd destroy the championship. carroll could be decent too, and as much as i'd love to offload shola, he signed a new contract a few months ago and is very likely to be there.

one thing that could work to our advantage is that we have a semi-decent youth setup now. quite a few youth internationals from various countries that could prove to be decent in the championship. nile ranger, kadar, vuckic, etc.

I agree there - if we offload a lot of "first team" it should give the young lads a chance. I would prefer to play Nile Ranger than Andy Carroll, he has been firing them in at reserve & under-19 level

I think midfield is our biggest problem, it provided nothing during the season in terms of defensive or attacking situations

I think we could make a bit of money off Martins, Barton, Coloccini, Smith, Jonas & more than likely Bassong, but no where near what we paid for most of them

Andy Carroll could be decent I would keep him

but on that carrol was bagging 2 goals on avergage for u19 n that

went to my school and played for cleveland, so he's alright by me.

So was Chopra & James Coppinger before that - I dunno, from what I've seen of Carroll I dont think he has that much to offer. I know he will always give 100% being a supporter & that, I just dont think he could be used week in week out

Alan Smith has said he wants to stay aswell, physio table will be in use all season

i'd be happy to drive/carry him to anyone that wanted him.

guthrie in the first team? hes only a reserve in my eyes atm

he did a good enough job in bolton's first team last season, and i reckon he's a really solid player. he's only 21/22 and will only get better, potentially class in the championship, and a long-term replacement for nicky butt in the centre of midfield.
