Can you get direct flights? The only ones i can find are indirect and take something stupid like 5 hours!

There won't be any direct flights from newcastle.

Fly to amsterdam, then get the train to rotterdam. Flight will take about an hour, and the train probably the same.

The flight to Rotterdam will be amsterdam first then to rotterdam, that's why it'll take so long.

Rotterdam is only about 30 miles away from Amsterdam.

Yeah Sarah, its dead easy! The train station is part of the airport, you just have to jump on the train to Rotterdam. You get tickets from a machine. Doesnt take ages either. Me and Mick did it last year, so Im sure you can do it too

I had been advised to do that, but i just wasn't keen on getting straight onto a train after a flight with a suitcase. And i get easily lost and get into a panic.

I did it in Barcelona it's easy peasy, and everyone is lugging a suitcase on the train too cos they've all come from the airport so you don't look daft!

The train to Rotterdam from Amsterdam takes about 50 minutes.

Its massive tho!! Easy enough to navigate. Have a good time
