    Newcastle sign Spiderman!!!

Real Mallorca winger Jonas Gutierrez (nicknamed Spiderman) is signing for us after buying out his contract.
24 years old, 2 caps for Argentina, but hasn't been in the set up for about a year. Scored only 5 goals in 96 league appearances for Real Mallorca (who finished 7th in La Liga this year). Bought out his contract at the end of this season and his club now alledgedly want 15million Euros in compensation.

I watch a fair bit of Spanish football and he's definitley one of the players I've been most impressed with. He doesn't score a lot of goals, but he set plenty up for Guiza, who was top scorer in the league. Just hope he can be Keegan's next Beardsley or Ginola....

If Tevez can put a fucking dummy in his gob spidey can put his mask on!!! Can't wait until he scores his first goal!!!!

Over the moon about this tbh, even more so cos of the fact that none of the press, including Anal, had a friggin clue and it was done and dusted before it broke. Makes a refreshing change :D

going by his goals record and the amount newcastle score it probably wont be on show much , unless he brings it out for assists.

He does a lot of work with the youngsters mate, a great bloke to have around the training ground, as well as the odd cameo appearance in a 5 man midfield against man utd, arsenal etc... Hes like shit off a stick as well

*Tongue well and truly in cheek*

    ;)

Ive always rated Bent mate, would love to see him sign personally ;)

Hes not irish/ex man utd/celtic though so think we may struggle :(

i am pleased we have landed this lad, from what i have seen of him he has potentail to be a better buy then aaron lennon would have been!

and given the fact we finished 12th after a shit season and we have a squad full of average players at best newcastle havent got the pulling power to attract prooven world/ euro class players so keegan has to take the odd risk

I disagree with u there mate - i predict most assist in the league next season and martins and owen to score 25 goals each (league and cup). I'd rather be a optimist than a f***ing pessimist!!!

Are you one of those shit Newcastle fans that the press always seem to find outside of the Strawberry after a skinfull, when we've just beat some shite team one-nil?

''Welll a think errrmm now wa ganna win the league like''

I'm all for optimism, but what you've just said conforms to everyones stereotype that Newcastle fans havn't got a clue.

Did i say we wud win the league? Answer NO.

IMO Owen and Martins are world class strikers and with the right service can score 25 goals a season ( league and cup).
