dunno bout now, but flying used to get some pretty decent upfront stuff in, not huge amounts, but some stuff, about a year ago... has it all gone housey/DnB now?

u should turn to hardcore Revel, Reflex is stacked full of that:) then u could shop till your hearts content:)

wonder if theres a decent market for a trance/hard house/prog specific shop in newcastle...

my thoughts exactly... half the fun is being given the hugest pile of tunes to listen through, went to plasticfantastic in london once (not really a trance/hard dance shop), i think they gave me 80 tunes to listen to:D... or am i just one sad individual... :) also would love to see the vinyl department in hmv get ruined, fuckin £7.49/99 for imports my arse:D

Why dont you all speak to Deakin and tell him to have a word with lads (Is it still Bradford/Armstrong & Scooby) who run Flying Records!
Or if any of you guys have got the balls go into Flying Records tell them what you think and ask for job of ordering trance records
Maybe Tulip should get a job there or Promise should have a on-line record shop

my guess is they re not too fussed about trance, otherwise they would have done it a while back, and sellin trance would attract a lot of shithead charvs... and they probs make most the money from shindig, not sellin a few house records...

Because they are not into it!But when it was called Trax they used have Charvs in all the time buying rave records and the best selling item that shop has ever had was RAVE TAPES!
If they had someone who worked there and knew there trance tunes they would get good trance in.

Fuck it I will speak to them myself and I dont even buy tunes nowadays

When Bassy G (KING OF HARDCORE) worked there you didn't need to look anywhere else for hardcore because you had faith in Bassy G.

When B-Jam worked there drum & bass fans went there.

Local record shops need good specialists. Maybe flying have forgot this.

    Revel I will nominate you

It was good for old tunes but the best thing was they were pretty clueless so you could get classics dirt cheap
