newcastle last night not the best performance but glad we're through. I have to mention, although he set the second goal up from a corner, luque just isn't good lol it's hard to believe this is the same player, he can't control the ball, can't win a header, hasn't got any speed at all whether that be running or with the ball at his feet, it's obviously confidence he's lacking but can anyone see him getting that back? apart from that we didn't look too bad at the back for a change, milners playing well, and nobby had a storm at the back.
agree with every word..........pleased for taylor to get the goal and mclaren was there watchin aswell never no what could happen luque never gets better not up to prem standard
Re: newcastle last night Firstly, how can speed be to do with confidence? Secondly, he might be able to get some confidence if he was given a string of games in a row instead of this only play him once a month thing! I'm pretty sure he's gonna be dropped for this weekend and to me that makes no sense at all.
Re: Re: newcastle last night I agree, I reckon if he goes back to spain he will be back to his best. Its weird in Europe we never seem to go for it and still end up winning! If we get 3 points on sat we could be well on our way to turning the season around, a defeat and we could be back to square one.
Re: Re: newcastle last night ok then maybe that part was badly worded, i mean he he doesn't run at people or show any real interest in taking players on, and when he does he looks clueless as to what to do that he almost trips over his own feet making him look really slow, whereas when he was playing in the spanish league he used to know what he was gonna do and take on players. And he probably would get a string in the team if he played half decent when he came on, ffs half the time he could barely control the ball last night never mind effect the flow of the game. With the position we're in the league we need our best players on the field to get us out of shit, unfortunately we don't have the time to give him chances. I'd love him to prove me wrong but on what i've seen I can't see it happening.
Re: Re: Re: newcastle last night Yeah he probably will go back there and play well, it's not as fast paced as the premiership. Last night i thought this game would be perfect for him against his old rivals but he didn't show much.
Re: newcastle last night Even Titus kept it, er, tight. Except for his early clearance which ended up back at the keeper via the heel of his standing leg
Luque doesn't want to be playing for Newcastle, he can't get used to the constant running around and fitness levels. He's used to the fancy side of football which he has proven himself in the spanish league at, all the fancy footwork and doing tricks. I would be very surprised if he stayed in january. Glad they're through though couldn't stop laughing at Taylor's victory run, thought he was going to do a full lap!!!!
it was the first time hes ever cut inside and sold a few players last nite though, i dont think he will make it in english football but its been proven hes got the quality. go to the google videos an search for the fucker,,,its there such a waste, but heres hoping he gets a few games under his belt so we can all really judge him
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3463539122903331747 he can do it. give him a run and im convinced he can come good, he wouldnt still be here if proving his ability meant nothing to him... give him a shout and convident we can see some of the above player.
