Cosmic Ballroom's what used to be the Stage Door in Chinatown... good little club with a good soundsystem. Yet to hear any breaks/dnb over it but can't wait.

I expect there'll be bigger guest Dj's in the future but dj's on this night are all locals... and as its a 'History...' night we all have a time period to stick to. So Room 1'll be:

Dark Skies (2000-2006)
Spectra (1996-2000)
Dj Ruff (1994-1996)
Myself (1990-1993) (oldschool breaks set)

Room 2's reggae hosted by Dub inna Club crew.

Only a fiver so well good for a Friday night.

HEY DJ VENIM CONGRATULATIONS TO FINALLY CATCHING UP ON NEWCASTLE'S SCENE. I'VE SEEN GOLDIE 3 TIMES IN NEWCASTLE AND ALSO LISA LASHES THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIMES. AS FOR GOOD DRUM AND BASS NIGHTS, THERE'S PLENTY, YOU JUST MISSED THEM ALL WHEN THEY WERE AT THERE PEAK.

correct me for being a bit clueless on the drum n base tip but aint turbulence and curves pretty much been the standard bearers for the last 6 or 7 years

THERE USED TO BE TONS OF RANDOM MIDWEEK NIGHTS ALL OVER THE PLACE AROUND 2001 - 2003

THEY JUST WEREN'T TOO ADVERTISED. SMALL EVENTS PUT ON BY LOCAL DJ'S. DEAD BY DAWN WAS A GOOD ONE AS WAS THE ONES PUT ON BY ROB FICTION AND MICK FURY!

but DEAD BY DAWN was a mixture of all sorts and was run by fraser and fun size jonny wernt it, there were only about 4 of them at old world headquarters

WICKED CITY was immense too

IT WAS FLYERED BY FRASER I THINK, ACTUALLY IM NOT TOO SURE, I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT WAS KINKY JOHNS NIGHT. THAT WAS A CLASS NIGHT AND YEA SO WAS WICKED CITY. BAR M WAS WHERE IT WAS AT FOR DNB FOR ME THO!

We used to do the sound system for Warning on a Sunday night at Bar M (the old one opposite the blackett), used to do a few warm ups for them too....
