newcastle buy-out? Magpies confirm buy-out approach Newcastle have confirmed to the Stock Exchange that majority shareholder Sir John Hall has been approached to sell his stake in the club. Hall, who paid an estimated £3m to take charge of the club in 1991, stepped down as chairman in 1997. Weekend newspaper reports suggested an American backed consortium had been working on a buy-out proposal. Its just speculative at the moment tho and if there is one party interseted there is bound to be others . We need a change in regime anyway just hope it wont be to a yank dictatorship that sucks the club dry of money and then burns its soul But like i said we dont know the whole of it yet so lets see what happens !
because newcastle r a PLC hall has to publicly announce if he has an approach to buy his stake... this could all just blow over if hall tells whoever offered the club aint 4 sale.
