I can't tell you what time DJ sets are.

Obviously the night will start off reasonably light (to warm you up and get you in the mood) and progress through trance, hard trance and hard house upstairs.

Downstairs will be just as the info says - dirty New York Underground house music.

Any way I never tell djs what to play - I choose them because they do what they are renowned for very well.

2nd question - BA! is a private function suite with it's own separate entrance in the entrance to the Grainger Market. It is above the Blackett Arms.

The only reason I was being secretive about it is because evrytime i find a cool venue who understand our needs evryone jumps on the bandwagon, and I didn't want to get edged out by someone making a better offer or spreading shitty rumours - as happened with PULL at Rockshots - no one came because they thought we had closed down.

Hope this explains that I was being careful, rather than precious.

Anyway, a shindig regular (which I am not) told me it was £35 quid for shindig NYE.

Pipes and smoking come to mind.

I'm not in competition with Shindig. It has to be a class club to have lasted this long and be so popular. If that's your cup of tea go there. And that'll be cool.

I'm providing something much more intimate, and energetic. A different market altogether.

the capacity of foundation is reputed to be 1400 which means over a long NYE night with folk leaving and others arriving Shindig can expect around 2000 paying customers,

    2000 x £18 = £36,000
    2000 x £35 = £70,000

(you don't need to be Einstein to appreciate the economies of scale:))

(Perhaps you do ??? :dunce: )

My event will accomodate 200 - 300 people (intimate)

    300 x £20 = £6000

(most of which will pay for the night itself and any small profit, if there is any, goes to fund Sunday Trading which makes a loss throughout the year but continues to provide a platform for up and coming DJs to play in front of a crowd)
