I know these threads are endless but I couldn't find the answer in this forum.

I've two computers and want to go wireless. From what I've read I'm under the impression I still have to have one computer wired up. Is this true? The problem we have is that we want to move both computers upstairs out of the way.

you don't have to have one connected no, my pc hard drive crash and wasn't in operation for for ages, and my flatmate could still use the internet through our wireless router

you can have them both wireless but bear in mind u will need to wire one up initially just to set up the router. I think thats where the confusion comes from
