For the price theres tons of other mixers that do a better job, and a few extra hundred would get you a denon 1500 ... stonking. Technics seem to be having a hard time keeping up it seems?
heard rumours of a pioneer djm 1000 a while ago, a djm 600 with the 909 shit on it, anyone else heard anything about a new pioneer release?
i have the efx500, and yep, they are better... the efx1000 is gonna be like £1000 when it finally gets released, its going to be aimed more at studio's apparently as its 24 bit sound. I was a bit gutted it wasnt available to play with at PLASA this year, even though it was there. I'm running a 2 channel mixer at the minute as i sold the djm500.... im needing another 4 channels cos 2 decks just aint enuf sometimes... looks like im gonna wait for pioneer to bring something new out, or buy a 600
I dont think i could buy something im not that familier with without having a go of it first, and since the demise of most dj shops around here, i dont think a try before u buy thing would be available. To be honest i didnt really consider the denon as its not going to be a popular choice for clubs/bars etc like the what's looking like an industry standard pioneer mixer. Now its been brought forward as a recomendation i'll have a look at it though... I still think waiting for a new pioneer release is worth while. I'll just be happy having the ability to use the cdj's without flicking over the line input switch
