am currently in the city of lafayette, around 200 miles away from new orleans. looks like the eye of the hurricane is gonna pass right over here. have boarded up the windows and got close to 50 sand bags around the doors. am proper shitting it tbh. i know i hardly post on here anymore but wish me luck all the same. the power will more than likely be off in the next 24 hours... don't know for how long though. am planning on catching a lot of the storm on camcorder, so as soon as the power comes back on i'll get it posted for those that are interested. well..... i'm off to get drunk--ish, never been through a hurricane before and don't really know what to expect... but i know none of it is really that good. wish i was home. there's no place like home... (now where's me ruby slippers??)

its not too bad at the moment like.. still got power... its off and on though, wind is fairly strong and its raining hard, but the storm is slowly getting weaker, so feel a bit better about that!! just hope the power stays on like, coz i got nowt else to do.
