New 'laws" on selling mobile phones

I have noticed cheap mobile phones on the net for some time have always quoted you HAVE to pair the purchase with at least a £10 top up at the time of puurchase, i thought this was just a ploy to get your cash but it turns out it isnt...

I was in Argos today to buy two phones in the sale, one for me one for the wife.

Her: "Sorry Sir you can only buy one phone at a time"

Me: "Yeah but its two different handsets"

Her:"I know but its new rules and you HAVE to buy £10 top up each time too, "

    Me: "Whys that?"

    Her:"Dont know its stupid"

I then went off for the afternoon and popped back that night when i knew the new shift would be on and i paid for a phone but the manager stopped me collecting it

"Sorry you have already bought a phone today its shop policy"

Me: "Yeah fair cop give me a refund, ok to come back tomo?"

Him: "Not really, its one phone per customer"

Me: "Whhhhhhat so I can never buy another phone in Argos, Have you got this in writing?" (By now I know hes talking bullshit)

"Him: Yes iv got some cards ill get you one" (waddles off to find card behind tills but returns empty handed"

    Him: "I cant find one"

    Me: "Didnt think you would"

Him: "I cant put it in writting for you but I am in my right to refuse sale to anyone and I am"

    WHAT THE FUCK!!!

The manager said its apparently its because of foreign immigrant gangs buying up all the stock and sending it back home where they are triple the price

Another case of the fuckers taking from this stupid country then pissing all over us

The Top Up is there because it makes it less financial sense to the gangs with this in place, if your buying £1000 worth of £10 phones you have to buy £1000 of English vouchers too, therefore giving you a outlay of £2000 insted of £1000 and £1000 of uneeded vouchers

Its got fuck all to do with Terrorism or American, its Polish Russian and Albanian lowlifes spending our tax money getting rich. Just another day eh

It's called box-breaking, it was quite common when I worked at Phones 4U 3 years ago. This Nigerian guy kept coming in and trying to buy 20 of the cheapest phones about once a week.

what's wrong with that? isn't that called entrepreneurship? would you turn your nose up if you were abroad and found something you could sell back home for 3 times the price?

Thats what i thought, WHAT THE FUCK has it got to do with Argos what you do with their products AFTER sales? Do they blunt all kitchen knifes incase you stb someone? This is wrong in my eyes, yeah if it was terror based but no its poor tramps making some money cos tech is dear back home... Has anyone else had this "must top up" forced upon them? Iv notcied TJ Hughes are selling those £10 Samsungs as well but no mention of forced top ups or limits on purchases in the ads, All Argos ads now carry the "Must top up £10" disclaimer by the way.

I am in two minds weather to go back into store and demand it in writing

No its not a good point (MistaGay you fool) its a fucking stupid point.

Its the point of crime that should deal with this, the point of crime for selling tabs is the smuggling not the buying.

The point of crime for the phones is either in the smuggling of the phones as no sales tax will be being paid but it isnt on ebay either so its a grey area.

This point would only make sense if Alfredo the Spanish Corner shop man said "No you cant buy any tabs you might take them back to England"

    AS IF

Theres a new scam apparently where some group who call themselves "OPEC" (Probably paki's or immigrants) go over to other countries and pump stuff out the ground for pennies - then the cunts deprive the locals of it, ship it back to their own country and sell it for an absolute fortune.

Theres other people who look funny who do the same with minerals down in Africa - I'd love to catch these wogs at their game and show them what for. "DE BEERS" or something they go by - Probably some rag head coded name or something like Mohammed etc.

    I hate people like that.

interest payments into perpetuity as well.

The most we have to worry about is a few people taking mobile phones off "us" to be sold abroad. Phones that were made in china and then shipped here in any case ;)
