    Nero problem

    Hi nerds.

I have an original copy of Nero 7 Pro and Nero Express works but when I click on the actual Nero programme itself I get a microsoft error.

'Nero has encountered a problem and mustshut down, send error report etc etc?'

    Any ideas?

I've tried uninstalling it and doing a full install and its doing the same?

    Ta

    hi jimmy.

i havent a clue to be honest. i would just continue using Nero Express.

you could also re-format your PC, re-install nero - and hopefully that should work

I think thats what I'll have to do, I feel a bit miffed tho, Nero's probably the only program on my comp that I actually paid for lol..

a format is a bit strong for a program not working like

are you running anything like Alcohol 120% Jimmy? I know that conflicts with Nero a bit.

Could be some dodgy excess lying about inside the registry, have you been doing a lot of uninstalling and clicked yes for delete 'that' file as well?

I would suggest going through the add remove programs and seeing what you need/use and getting rid of anything thats of no need. Remove nero completely. Reboot. Then I would run something like registry cleaner (you can aquire it online).

After you do that lot, reboot again, then install nero from scratch. once its finished installing, reboot once more, then go back in to windows with everything on your body crossed :D
