"Two rapidly ascending stars in the north of England, Baker Street Recordings from Leeds and Neil Bainbridge from Newcastle, join forces for the third release on the label’s new digital offshoot. Both Baker Street and Bainbridge have grown up around ideal mentors, the former is run by Paul Hardy who works for Ralph Lawson’s 2020 Recordings where he is responsible for managing the .dotbleep label, while the latter is a long-standing resident at Shindig, one of the UK’s most highly respected clubnights, welcoming A-list DJs on a weekly basis. ‘Dubseventeeone’ delves into deep and techy house territory and delivers a building hypnotic groove with intricate percussion. Paul Hardy provides a remix which takes things to darker and sparser places"

JIMPSTER -"ace track this one. Neil's tracks keep getting better and better.."

///Neil Bainbridge caught the house music bug, before stumbling on Newcastle’s underground house scene and its finest clubbing export Shindig. After several months of studying what was going on in the DJ booth he became friends with the promoters and gained himself a residency, which he holds to this day seven years later. Opening for the best DJs the world has to offer has played a fundamental part in Neil’s musical influences and ambitions and created an open-mindedness to many kinds of electronic music which culminate in his ‘deep Chicago house sound with a tech house background’. Along the way Neil has also owned his own record store, developed a career in music PR and works as label A&R for Forensic.

On the production front Neil records with fellow Shindig resident Mark Lowry (aka Solaris Heights) as ‘Airgroove’, whose debut release was signed to Patrick Turner’s Movim label. His solo material has been released on labels including Kolour, 3am and Greenhouse and he has remixed Cpen & JT Donaldson, Wasted Chicago Youth and Chris Harris & Dominic Martin amongst others.

Paul Hardy is one half of Holmes & Watz alongside Jacob Kelly with whom he also co-owns the Baker Street Recordings label. Over the years Paul has done his stints in record shops (Play Music Leeds), done the studies (Leeds College Of Music) and now works at Leeds based record labels (2020 Vision / Dotbleep). He spends all his free time locked in the studio creating new music or travelling round Europe to DJ. ///
