    needle jumping on sl1210

this may sound very silly for someone who's had decks over 2 years  but....

on certain vinyl when I move back and forth past a beat my needle jumps off that groove and usually back to the beginning of the track. I have 2 decks but this only happens on my SL1210 (the other is a sony). I've tried increasing the weight at the back and using that anti-skating device (wtf is that anyway??!! )

Can anyone help please   :dunce:

I've had the same problem recently. Had my concordes on my 1210's for just over a year now and the needles are blunt as fuck. Have to buy some new styli which is gonna cost me £30.

I keep my tonearm weight screwed in backwards, anti-skate set to 0.

Cant say i've noticed any damage on my records or bad sound quality......

Depending on how much you use the decks of course.
