Post the names of the infections (the name that housecall gives the viruses) and the infected files locations (eg C:\tits\arse\bollocks.exe) and I'll try sort summinck when I get home tonight. You haven't installed Sun Java RTE recently, have you?

    No worries. :)

There'll be a Sun folder in your program files, Firefox will prompt you to install the RTE as a plug-in if you go onto sites that use Java. Did you install that patch from the other thread?

Are XP and IE patched up to date? I'd recommend using windows update straight away to make sure.

Thought so - uninstall Sun Java (thru Control Panel-->Add/Remove Programs), then do a search (start-->Search-->For files and folders) for all folders that are called 'sun' - delete them all, empty recycle bin. Delete all temp files and temp internet files too (Start-->Programs-->Accesories-->System Tools-->Disk Cleanup). Delete any files in AVG's quarantine. Restart pc, do another scan, see if there's still a problem. Hopefully sorted

Btw - don't worry bout Sun Java, it's not really necessary at all, just an alternative to the M$ VM.

Did it give the location? If so, see what's in those folders, delete if it's a temp folder or a Sun folder.I still stuck, post the location

This is exactly what it says:

    :documents and settings\marc\applications Data\sun\java\deployment\cache\javapi\v1.0\file\BlackBox.class-6b73bdc9-28fa9...

fuck knows where it is/what it is and where to delete it from

Open up My Computer, go to Tools-->Folder Options-->View tab, select 'Show hidden files and folders' and uncheck 'Hide protected operating system files'. Click ok, then open c drive, open Documents And Settings folder, open marc folder, open Application Data folder, delete Sun Folder. Do Start-->Search-->For all files and folders and search for 'Sun' folders again, make sure in the advanced search settings it's set to search thru system folders too, and delete them. Then empty recycle bin, delete avg quarantine, empty temp and temp internet files, reboot, should be gone
