My new Trance tune check it out Hey, Some of you probably already know me but for those of you who don't alllreeeet!! This is my new tune give it a listen and tell me what you think. Cheers Alex Smuggle Drugs
yeah i agree with Peter (for once ) the production is pretty good, i recon it wouldnt sound to bad on a big sound system It does take quite a long time to build up in the break though
This is probably my fifth tune that i've actually finished, but a lot I haven't got round to finishing. And yeah I was aiming for the massive scot project breakdown and build up. Cheers everyone glad you like it.
Yeah, definately, I used to play tunes similar to the one you posted but now I play tech-trance. I enjoyed it, better than some of the Hard-trance that is getting released currently
404 = page not found edit: it's working now, comments... not bad, infact it's pretty good. however i have 3 major gripes with the tune, firstly it's stuck between trance and hard house and doesn't quite sit because of some of the elements you have used, secondly, the mix is very dry, there is a general lack of anything been done to the samples or synths to give them their own portion of the mix and prevent mudiness. thirdly the tune is very simple in points, this is because of poor samples, whcih isn't your fault, i've only been able to get hold of some really good samples of recent through buying sample cds, trawling the net and doing collabs with like minded producers. to fix my first and third gripe, get some samples from the net or try and raid reason refills to get some samples, add a counter melody and separate the bass, it sounds like it is only one bass at the minute, you need at least a sub which only produces sub and a mid bass which drives the lower melody. if u listen to guyver tunes in particular there is many a subtle fill and there is really lots and lots of percs happening, most evidently in the build of his tunes. to fix the dryness of the track, take each element and give it some good seeing to, using internal and external fx processors, give that synth some deep eq and a bit of reverb, it does sound very bland on it's own, the lowpass filter work is very good though. the break also needs some other filters, or a sub sine bass for that hands in the air factor. there is a delay issue on the synth as the delay flanges over the synth and the notes double up and make a strange noise, again, the eq and reverb will sort this out, stereo seperation may help aswell. i really like the melody, not sure on the sweeping fx pad that comes in, perhaps if it was more of a synth it would work better. overall, very nice tune, generally a good listen all the way through, for only your 5th complete track it is very good going and you and this track obviously have the talent and potential to get going
cheers mate for the comments, I've taken some on board but I don't really agree with your some of your opinions, but I guess some of them are just to do with personal preference, so thats why I don't agree. Thanks though glad you think I'm in the right area.
yo... i would listen to luke and the others like on the ahead board alex...they might have been a bit harsh but they know their stuff! you know i think your tunes are starting out well, make them a bit more fluffy and gay and you'll be on your way! not bad for a mincer like yourself anyway
cheers mate, Not into fluffy and gay as you well know, should hear the one I've just started its a bit like the derb remix of trance n acid scary as fook.
