My first DJ Guest Mix on Metro FM + Proton Radio For anyone who would like to tune in, I'm doing a 1hr DJ guest mix for Proton Radio tonight (www.protonradio.com) as the featured DJ / producer on a new show called Locked Grooves. The show is on 10pm-12am UK time (5-7pm EST) with the first hour mixed by fellow DeepDown Newcastle DJ Lee Bolton and the second by myself. If you don't use internet radio you can catch the same mix by me on Metro FM this Saturday 5th October sometime between 1am-5am on the Angel + Gabrielle show. I've tried to cover most of the different styles that are influencing my own music right now with some progressive, tribal, tech-house, techno and breaks. Let me know what you think! Tracklist is as follows: 1. Colin Dale - You Know How (Sensei) 2. Terry Francis - How Can Something? (Groovepleasure) 3. Eddie Richards - Zig Zag (End Recordings) 4. Clyde Built Project - Do It 2 Me (Deep Freeze) 5. Brett Johnson - Stucco Homes (Classic) 6. Tyler Durden - Break Of Dawn (Swag) 7. The Velvet Mafia - Stomp (Lovelife) 8. Dano, Chus & Ceballos - Deep Architecture (2020 Vision) 9. Chus & Oscar De Rivera - Primitive Conditions (Stereo) 10. Dylan Rhymes - Thunderdub (Blue Black) 11. Chus & Oscar De Rivera - Free My Soul (Stereo) 12. Andre La Taste - Equalize (Grounded Music) 13. Authentek - Shaka (Future Music) My new single 'The Gringo Trail' by Julio G comes out on Newcastle record label Climax Recordings on the 21st October. I'll be at the Promise DJ competition @ Egypt Cottage on Friday if anyone wants to say hello! Will be lending moral support to the man James Wilson (Climax label manager + DJ).
Didn't realise he was on this week, think I'm off through Sunderland on friday night. Hopefully he'll get through and I'll see him in the next round. Looking forward to your night next week though Paul, I'll definitely be down for that one. Did Mr. Bolton win that Revolution competition then? I sent him an e-mail about it but he never replied.
Lee didn't win the Revolution DJ comp. Some guy playing R+B did which is fair enough 'cos that's more suitable for the punters in there. Our first DeepDown night @ The Egypt Cottage has been put back to the 26th October but you can still catch the funky house boys from Spank downstairs every Saturday. As well as the DJ comp James is playing a set for Sunday Trading this weekend if you're around for that and I'll be doing my thing there on 13th October. Thanks for showing an interest and have a good one in Sunderland.
