My beatport is fucked My beatport is now displaying everything in United States Dollars. Yes I will have 19 tracks for £19.86 thankyou very much Best computer bug ever.
mine was yesterday, although before that, when i bought tunes i'd used a handy little thing that changed my ip address, so beatport thought i was from the us
I hope they do actually charge $ and not £ though otherwise i might be in the red after my last purchase.... Its bullshit how we get charged more though anyways - have Beatport ever actually justified why we pay more or do they just keep shrugging it off?
back to the queens finest now. anyone having trouble with actually putting order's through now? :spangled:
see anoraks post here http://forum.djmag.com/viewtopic.php?t=9973 i use torpak when i go to buy my tunes so i get it in dollars rather than pounds
I downloaded that but when i re-open firefox and go on to Beatport i cant get any further than the front page and it says along the bottom that scripts are blocked. I clicked on options and allowed scripts but it still wouldnt work. Any ideas?
Ive just downloaded this but when i go on to beatport it still says £! Is there something i need to set on it because i havent got a clue with all this interweb crap.
1. Get Firefox of you dont already have it 2. Download Switch Proxy and install it to firefox 3.Open firefox and make sure you can see the Switch Proxy Toolbal just under the address bar. Click on the add button on this toolbar. 4. Select anonymous for you proxy type. 5. Next you will get another window that says proxy labe at the top. Enter whatever you want to call your proxy eg : beatport $ 6. Now look two boxes down where there is another add button. THis is where you enter the proxy address and port number. (add 0s in the box below where it says change proxy every _ seconds. 7. Now open a separate browser window and google us proxy lists. 8. Now its just trial and error. Im not too sure what the exact type of proxy is best but the ones i usually get working are high anonymity ones that support ssl or else say n/a under the ssl menu. 9. Once you have one of these numbers go back to the proxy window we have open in FIrefox and add it (make sure its in this format 12.9.1.242:80 as some sites list the port number separatley here 80 is the port number) then select save. 10. At this point i find it works better if you clear all you internet history cookies etc in firefox. 11. Select your new proxy from the drop down menu on the switch proxy toolbar and hit apply. 12. Now to see if its workng try going to some sites or even beatport and if it has your prices will be in dollars. (Because it can be quite slow using the proxy it is better to fill up your basket in beatport before switching over to your proxy. I find its better to do this in IE so i dont have to keep erasing my cookies in firefox.) If the pages dont load or load incorrectly after doing all this then you most likley need to get a new proxy number, you can either just edit the one you made previously or else create a new one each time. Dont be discouraged it can sometimes take many tries to get one that works but you will eventually and its worth the hassle since your paying almost half as much as you would pay in pounds. ____________________________________________________ CHARGES Sub Total $16.40 WAV Handling $0.00 Tax $0.00 Credit -$0.00 TOTAL $16.40
Thanks a lot, i would never have figured that out myself. Ive been on about 30 mins now trying to get a proxy that works but its not happening! Have you got one that definately works to save me the hassle?
Si i try'd to follow exactly that from this : http://www.nem0nic.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=117&Itemid=1 you need a flash driver installed to run b.port though. so when i've installed firefox, b.port will not show and firefox will not install flash properly strange  i've got the proxy tool installed though.
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/down...Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&P2_Platform=Win32 That nemonic link is slightly harder to setup so follow that one I posted. The hardest bit is finding a proxy to use.
Bit of a long shot this like... Will Beatport refund you for any tracks that you have purchased but havnt downloaded? Ive just been a bit of a dissa and bought every thing in my account when I only wanted to buy 3 tunes
has anyone found a good proxy. i cant for the life of me get one to work long enough to buy some tracks in dollars
i still aint been able to figure this proxy shit out and now b.port aint even taking my card for the £££'s
